Dear teachers:

I have trouble to pronounce "th"&"you-j", so I am afraid to talk in front of public. Would you like to pronounce correctly? Thank a lot!!

Best wishes,

peihan Smile

The "th" sound is difficult for most non-native speakers of English. You have to stick your tongue out a little, but one big mistake students make is to stick their tongues out way too far. I always told my students to check to see how they look in a mirror. It really doesn't have to stick out much to make the sound. There is a "voiced" and a "voiceless" "th" sound. It's difficult to explain without your being able to hear it, so you might want to look in google for some sites that have sound.

I don't understand what "you-j" is.

Thank to your response . I understand clearly about how to

pronounce "th". Pronouncing "th" should be practiced many times.

I know the way to practice it.

My other question is how to pronounce you"correctly.

Thanks again!

Best wishes,

peihan
