Dear sirs:
Is there any difference, in terms of meaning or use, between "from time to time" and "once in a while"?
Though they mean "sometimes, not very often" as explained in dictionaries, can they be used interchangeably, in any case? Thank you for help.

For me, "sometimes" is more often than those two. I suppose they are quite similar because I can't think of how to explain a difference.
