Two questions:
1. What does " sense company" mean?
2. "Saves ammunitions " here means take an advantage over each of his candidate ?
Trump, Sensing Some Company in New Hampshire, Expands Target List
Good Tuesday morning. New Hampshire has been the prime focus of several campaigns, including Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey and Jeb Bush. The number of candidates in the state has meant that the longtime front-runner there now appears to be making sure he saves ammunition for each of his rivals.

"Company" in this instance, means other people. (People who visit you at home can be "company." If you don't want to go for a walk alone, you can ask someone else to come so you have "company.") In this case, Trump realizes (senses) that there are other candidates visiting New Hampshire, and he is going to be sure and target all of them. (He is "saving ammunition" or preparing to target all of the other candidates.) |
