What does ' a person briefed on advance discussions'?
And was Kennedy outraged by the fact that the allegations were made or by the content which the allegations purport?
Kathleen Kennedy, an eight-time Oscar nominee, told fellow board members that she was outraged by the allegations, according to a person briefed on advance discussions, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to comply with academy confidentiality strictures. But Ms. Kennedy was also said to be aware that pushing him out could put the academy on a slippery slope.

I would guess she was outraged by the content of the allegations.
If a person is "briefed" on something, they are given some information. I am not sure what the "advance discussions" are, but perhaps they were discussions made in advance of something. |
