Hi Alexandra,
B.A. stands for A Bachelor of Arts degree. It's the typical degree a student earns after completing 4 years of college. At some colleges, students of math or science receive a B.S. (Bachelor of Science) instead of a B.A. It's the same degree, really, but differerentiates the area of study.
M.A. (it could likewise be M.S.) stands for Master's of Arts degree. It's called a postgraduate degree (with postgraduate referring to the completion of the B.A.). Depending on the field of study, it involves 1 or 2 years of specialized study in a particular field after completion of the B.A. |
