Do you mean that your teacher smokes in front of you and you don't like it?

You may tell your teacher that you don't like the smell of the smoke. It is okay to politely ask your teacher not to smoke in front of you.

Does your teacher smoke during class? If such a problem occurs in Poland, a student can go to a headmaster and tell it. Actually it shouldn't happen in our schools at all, because it's forbidden and teachers are allowed to smoke in a special room. I worked at school and I didn't see a smoking teacher, so this situation is very surprising to me. You should as your teacher to stop, yet if he doesn't wont to leave his cigarettes at home, go to your headmaster. However if you're studying and he/she works at university it won't be easy. There was one man who smoked at my university and there was no student, who wanted to object to his habbit.
Maybe you should open a window when he/she is starting to smoke?
