What is the defference bettween bring and take

Both have many shades of meaning but what I think you are trying to get at is this.
In general:
You bring it if you are coming towards here and you take it if you are going away from here.

So, I would say, Hany is bringing his wife for dinner this evening.

And, I am taking my wife to Hany's for dinner.

Or, Hany is bringing his German dictionary so we can study at my place.
I am taking my German dictionary to Hany's so we can study.


So, bring means to come conveying, or to come with. And take means to cause to go with one (you) or convey.
Of course, this is English, so there are exceptions.

In America I have heard "I am bringing my books to Bill's."
This just confuses the issue and I would avoid it.
