"Bejesus" is a mild blasphemy. It means "By jesus".
It is often used like this. "I saw a Stephen King horror movie; it scared the bejesus out of me."
It means the movie really scared me. |

| yes, that's right. we use bejesus to expressing surprise or annoyance. |
