Can any American (or anybody) tell me what is the American equivalent of British pickle (as in Branston pickle, or mustard pickle) |

You can buy Branston pickle and Mustard Pickle (piccalilli) in the USA also mango chutney etc.,
The Americans have a thing called "relish" that they put on hamburgers. It is green and sweet and seems to made mostly out of chopped up cucumbers. Also they have corn relish which is another sweet condiment made with corn.
They are also fond of "dill pickles", which are like Polski Ogorki or pickled ghurkins.. |

Relish I believe is shredded pickled cabbage actually (I should know this as an American -_-) But it is delicious! And put it on burgers? I guess you could, but I don't know many people that do It's delicious with Tuna or hot dogs though  |
