Hello! Very Happy
Does anyone know Russian food, Rusian dishes? I think, that Russian food is great and very different from other kinds of food. It seems like, Russia is only known by Vodka in the World...Is true? Question
It is obvious that CHinese, Mexican and Japanese food are widely-known around the world and these cuisins are great, but not so many people know about Russian cuisin. Crying or Very sad
Have you ever tried Russian pancakes, Russian oool beverage Kvas, Okroshka, Borsh, an apple cake called Sharlotka?

I first tasted Russian cuisine 6 years ago and I was very impressed. I enjoy real Russian borscht (when it is thick and hot), blini with caviar, pelmini, golubtsy, and shashlik. Ochin vikusniy.

for Bob S.:
Was the food you tried in Russia home-made or did you you try it in cafe or restaturant. I think that home-made food is completely different and more delicious. Do you agree?

Some was at a restaurant or cafe, some was home cooking. (The shashlik was at a dacha barbecue). You are correct, home cooking has a different feel than restaurant food. Restaurants try to enhance the flavor so you will enjoy it, but whoever makes the food at home also wants it to be healthy.
