hrmm.. Smile

Who here likes to sing chinese folk music?
Recently one of my friends has been teaching me to sing a few songs.
I have only been learning chinese for one semester. I can only read the characters, but I often don't understand their meaning. I still have lots of fun though, and the songs are beautiful. Smile

Hrmm, it's not that I can't figure it out. I just don't remember it Smile.
I know a little bit of chinese, but my friend usually translates it for me.

Mostly the music is like this, the stuff from yunan:

I'm so busy this semester... only 3 months left of college, so scary Smile.

I read their conversations and I found out he was refused and turned down by that American straightaway.

Umm...., how could I say? Because I just like to ass kiss Americans, trying to make a friend out of them and to improve English so I need to try, I need to get refused. And, they? Somehow gain the pride in themselves. How could I say? Um... this is the global trend, learning English..., trying to get westernized or Americanized....., don't deny....

I believe I love my own mother tongue and I believe mine has its very and unplaceable merits which likewise other languages have. If you think one day, Chinese turns to be the trend, and then everybody needs to laern it, I believe I won't turn down anybody who wants to learn my language no matter how busy it is because I know this is encouragement not only the learning, or studying or exchange of opinions.
