I love Japanese rice.
I can’t help eating rice every day, if I can’t eat rice a day, I’ll be crazy guy.
So I can’t live abroad. I can’t think life without Japanese rice.
I think it’s same that American people must eat beef.
If anyone haven’t eat rice exist now, why don’t’ you eat the rice today’s lunch?
Maybe you will be happy, like me ,too . |

The Americans grow excellent rice in California. You will not be able to tell the difference. |

When I was living in America, I usually ate california rice. The taste was good, not excellent though. It was fine with me because I usually had eaten cheap rice in japan. It was very difficult to tell if it was Jpanese rice or Califorlnia rice. Since I am back to Japan, I realized Japanese rice, good one, cooked with good water tastes excellent after all.
Still, I like California rice because it was very cheap! It was less than a half-price in Japan. If you are not very particular about rice, you can enjoy rice in America too and have it even more. You can also buy Japanese rice in some cities and they are as the same price as in Japan or some are even a little cheaper. |

I am an Australian working in Niigata for the Ojiya City (Yes, the centre of the recent earthquakes) Board of Education as a Junior High School English Teacher and the rice here has a reputation for its quality. Also its Sake is famous and I like it a lot.
Has anyone here tried rice from Niigata? |
