At the end of a year, there will be a year-end banquet. In china, thatmeans weiya. A shop or company owner will thank his employees for their
hard work by hosting a big banquet or by giving out yearly bonuses in red envelopes. During the banquet a chicken is usually served. If thehead of the chicken is pointed towards you that means your contractwon't be renewed for the next year.
Chinese New Year is very important for us. Parents offer lucky money in a red envelopeto their unmarried children and the elderly to bring
them luck and peace.
