Hi, everyone. It's my first time to come here.
NowI'm a Chia-Nan university student in Tainan of Taiwan.
Do you know how the Dragon Boat Festivals origin was?
It's origin a people who named Qu Yuan.
Qu Tuan was a minister in the Kingdom of Chu.
Owing to his excellent on the welfare of the state and its people,
there were many of his fellow ministers jealous him. They conspired
against him. Qu Yuan got expelled, and because he was unable to bear his sorrow, he committed suicide by throwing himself into the Milou River.
Later, the fisherman raced out their boats to save him, but they failed.
Now dragon boats are held on Dragon Boat Festival to commemorate Qu Yuan. So Dragon Boat Festival is in memory of a patriotic poet, Qu Yuan.
And do you know how the Zongzi made of? Let me tell you.
Zongzi, is made of sticky rice dumpling steamed, filled with pork, peanuts, yolk, mushroom, shrimp, bamboo shoot and wrapped in bamboo leaves.
On the whole, that's about the size of it.[/b]

I add some information!

why we chinese eat zhongzhi on that day? the answer is that on that day quyuan dead, people failed to save him,so they throw lots of zhongzhi into the river to prevent the fish eating his body! herefrom, eating zhongzhi has became a part of dragon boat festival.
