The Indian people that I meet in Canada and Europe, seem to be very well-educated, pleasant and civilized. England has had a big influence on India in the past, and many Indians have manners and customs that would not be out of place in London. Consequently, they usually fit in well when they emigrate to English-speaking countries.
My doctor and my pharmacist are both from India.
India has a brilliant cricket team. |

Japanese likes India food. For example, curry is popular. Many curry shops are in Japan. I am interested in Indian culture. I hope I could visit India one day. |

Great. I am happy to hear those good and kind words from each one of you.
Thanks asamayu. You think Indians are clever, we think Japanese are very clever. We envy your progress in fields of science and technology. Electronic goods carrying the tag "Made in Japan" are considered superior in quality. Also, we respect your hard-working nature. As for education, yes, we do have IITs and IIM. But the education we recieve is useless. Here, more emphasis is laid on rote learning and not understanding. We gain a lot of information but not knowledge. Better education is available but at a hefty price only available to the children of rich parents, who generally do not make any good use of it. The rest of us have to work very hard to get into IITs and IIMs but seats their are extremely limited, about 1500 for a country of more that a million people. Nevertheless, we are able to rise above such limitations. Well, I have never got the chance to taste Japanese food yet. If you visit India someday, I will be very pleased to meet you and give youa taste of Indian culture and it curries too(many of which are not available in Japan). And yes, I would like to be your friend and do mail me at [email protected]. Thanks once again. _________________ The difference between insanity and genius is measured by success |

Thanks Obelix. I thought atleast someone here might have some harsh words to say about India. But I guess I am wrong. You are right in saying that England has had a big impact on India in the past. The western countries still has a lot of impact on India. We ape the west and often wrongly. In the name of westernisation, we have women in skimply clothes eveywhere and public display of love. I beleive in freedom of expression but discretion in advisable. However, few Indians look at the hard-working nature of the English and Americans because of which they are a potent force in the world. Most of us merely fantasy the glamour and riches of English and Americans and never think about the hard work that has achieved all this.
I have heard that Indian movies are a big hit in UK. Is it true? What do you think about Indian movies?
Even I love cricket and our cricket team too. Of course, I have great respect for the Australian, Pakistani, English and WI cricket teams.
Thanks once again. _________________ The difference between insanity and genius is measured by success |

Hi fa6ma,
Do you like Indian clothes? Great. So you have a sari. I guess the other clothing you mentioned should be Punjabi and not Benjabi. Anyways, I am glad that you like them. I have heard that the sari has become a fashion statement in various parts of the world. Even I like Indian music. Can you mention any particular Indian song that you like? Also, can you give me your email address? I would be happy to become your friend and tell me more about my city. _________________ The difference between insanity and genius is measured by success |

I think the bigest problem of India is the evironment problem now. Your country is developing too fastly .Everybody in your country have car so it make out too many exhaust gas . People go out to the street and they can not stay there for long time because the air is too terrible right ?.The big population is also make the evironment badder. |
