(1) What is Look down cold? There are quite a few listings on the Net.
(2) For lunch, she likes hamburgers, salad and oranges.
(3) For dinner, she has chicken, carrots, and ice cream.
Is comma in #2 and #3 before AND optional?
(4) Fish. The plural form can be either fish or fishes. Does fishes apply to many species of fish or it doesn't matter at all? My question is, when you have more than one fish, whether it is the same species or different species, either fish or fishes apply. Is this correct?
Thanks. |

I have no idea what look down cold means.
2) you need the comma after salad.
I think you need the comma except, possibly, when it is something like "ham and eggs" which is a common pairing.
I have three fish is more common than I have three fishes. Fishes is how it's written in the Bible and other ancient texts. |
