This is talking about learning English pronunciation the right way:

1. And, if you practice in the wrong way, you get worse and worse. But, if you practice in the right way, hopefully you will be better and better.

2. And if you practice the wrong way, your pronunciation could get worse; however, if you do it the right way, your pronunciation is expected, hopefully, to get better.

Is "in the wrong way" the same as "the wrong way?"

Yes, they're the same.

1. It's correct, but a little "old-sounding." It was probably written by someone with a different dialect than me.

2. This is more like how I would express the thought. I would start a new sentence, though, with "However." I think it is ok as is, but it is a little long.
