It�s a fairytale shrine *to* innocence.
Could anyone tell me why is that *to* instead of *of*?

It is one step to hell. I think "to" is going to.

| "Of" would mean that the fairytale shrine was made of innocence. "To" conveys that the praise is going to "innocence," something separate from the fairytale shrine. |
