It�s a fairytale shrine *to* innocence.

Could anyone tell me why is that *to* instead of *of*?

It is one step to hell. I think "to" is going to.

"Of" would mean that the fairytale shrine was made of innocence. "To" conveys that the praise is going to "innocence," something separate from the fairytale shrine.
