Chinese Proverbs
A proverb is a short saying which widespread used .It always expresses a basic truth of life. There are a lot of proverbs in the world. A Chinese proverb is one of them .As we know, the Chinese proverbs are well known to the rest of the world. In my opinion, the Chinese proverbs are the most suitable for applying to our daily life for 3 reasons.
First, the Chinese proverbs use simple words to describe human nature, but they give us deep meanings. We can easily understand their meanings by our imaginations at the first time we read .If we think more about those words; we will realize our life better. For example, Pick the flower when it is ready to be picked. When you read this proverb, you will see the picture and think about its meaning. This proverb tells you to do something at the right time.
Next, it has a sense of humor. The Chinese proverbs are not serious at all. I sometimes laugh when I read some proverbs such as this one Your neighbor's wife looks prettier than your own. It is fun, and it also expresses human nature that people always dont satisfy everything in their life.
Finally, it can be used forever. I mean no matter how long the time has passed, the Chinese proverbs can be used in our daily life. It has been used for a long time because of the wisdom of the ancient Chinese. For example, If you don't go into the cave of the tiger, how are you going to get its cub? is a good example for this reason .If you read Samkok or Three kingdoms (a Chinese chronicle), you will realize that this proverb was used at that time. Likewise, we can use this proverb in our world today.
In conclusion, Chinese proverbs are very useful for us to apply them into our lives because we can use them in business, love and family life. I think it is worth taking these proverbs and applying to our daily life because Chinese proverbs use simple words, but they have a deep meaning .Chinese proverbs also have a sense of humor .And these proverbs will still be used ever after. Have you ever heard any Chinese proverb which impressed you?

I like these,
1. Do not want others to know what you have done? Better not have done it anyway.
2. A frog in a well shaft seeing the sky.
3. Have a mouth as sharp as a dagger but a heart as soft as tofu.
4. An inch of time is an inch of gold but you can't buy that inch of time with an inch of gold.
5. There are always ears on the other side of the wall. _________________ Len T. |
