	  | Why river? | A "fork" is where something (river, road, etc.) divides into 2 or more smaller parts.
A "mouth" of a river is where it flows into a larger body of water such as a lake, sea, or ocean. St. Petersburg, Russia is built on the mouth of the Neva River.
