I'm a local of China.
Anything wrong with that sentence?

If you say, "I'm a local", it means you are from "around here"- a small local area.
Because China is such a vast country I don't think you can say, "I'm a local of China". I think you should say, "I am Chinese", Or, " I come from China", or "I live in China".
You can say', "I'm a Beijing local", though.
