Hi! We are graduate students in Cincinnati, USA and are working on a project to gather information about current attitudes towards English language teaching and learning in the Middle East. If you have an opinion on any of the topics/questions below, we would love to get your input. Thanks for helping us!
1. Do you think that the presence of the English language in the Middle East has increased recently? If yes, please briefly describe how.
2. Do you think the use of the English language in your country is positive, negative, or neutral?
3. If you live in a Middle Eastern country and are currently learning English or have studied English in the past, why did you do so?
4. How often do you use English?
5. Do you think that learning English takes away from or threatens your native culture in any way?
6. Do you think the presence of American-led military forces in Iraq and the Middle East will have any effect on the role of the English language in the area?
Thank you for your participation!

i think my answers is the very close to the prior post
but of course am not going to us,and as for affecting our culture.Generally, i don't think so but so people who are learning English try hard to be integrated w the language which play an important role in replacing the new culture(for some extent)w the original one. |
