Dear teachers:

Please check out the following sentences:

(a)There are many vendors on this street selling silver products, and you could keep it as souvenirs.
(b)There are many vendors on this street selling silver products, and you could keep it for souvenirs.

Could you tell me which one is proper, with "as" or with" for"? Thanks.

...keep them AS souvenirs is preferred, although you will hear either in everyday speech.
Please note that, as you are referring to silver products (plural), you need the plural them, rather than (singular) it.
