Now, I am staying in Auckland. But I am Japanese. I like Japan. My most favorite place in Japan is Kyoto. Kyoto is famous place as culuture of Japan.Auckland and Kyoto are very different. I think Auckland is very new city and Kyoto is very old city.

First, the weather in Auckland is very comfortable, but it change often. On the other hand, weather in Kyoto is terrible. Kyoto has hot summer and cold winter. It is large differences in tempature between summer and winter.

Second, the population is very similar. Auckland has about 1.25 million and Kyoto has 1.46 million. Of course people who live in Auckland speak English, and people who live in Kyoto speak Japanese.

If you visit to Auckland, you can do skydiving, cricket, cyclink and inline skating. I think skydiving is very populer in Auckland. Howewver I never do it. And also, you can go to famous place. For example, Sky Tower, Mt Eden and One Tree Hill. Auckland has a lot of bay and beach. You can go to sea anytime. My favorite bay is Mission bay. We can swim in the sea, and also we can relax in the park. There are a lot of restaurant near there, so we can eat lunch and dinner.

On the other hand, if you visit to Kyoto, you can do tea ceremony and zazen. Tea ceremony and zazen are traditional activities. However many Japanese have never do this. Famous place is Gold Temple, Kiyomizu dera and a lot of temples and shrines. My favorite place is UZUMASA cinema village. We can see old building there. It is set of period play. We can go to village a long time ago.

Both of place are very nice. Which dou you like??
