paradox=something contrary to popular beliefs
In this case, the normal idea of American is that they have time to enjoy their wealth? |

Correct.
The common belief is that, since Americans are on average more wealthy than most countries, Americans must have an easy life of luxury and vacations to exotic places.
The truth is that Americans work more hours, longer days, and have fewer vacations than their counterparts in most other developed nations. |
