For a moment, it looked poised to possibly be a *Candy Cane Revolution*, based on the demonstrators' red-and-white-striped scarves.

What is a *Candy Cane Revolution*?

Thanks

I think I might have read the same article last week. It was talking about the different colors associated with different "revolutions?" For example, the recent Ukrainian revolution became known as the Orange Revolution because the color orange was used by many of the supporters of the protests. And the current Lebanese revolution is becoming known as the Candy Cane Revolution, for the red and white colors of the Lebanese flags they carry.

A candy cane is a candy that is around at Christmas time. It's a hard candy, made of peppermint, shaped like a cane, and has one red and one white stripe that wind together along its length.
