Start by reading English books. If you don't mind, why don't you try reading children's books? It could also be books that you have read in your language before but only translated into English.
Hope you will have an easy time learning the language. _________________ A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes.

Hi,
I know it is very difficult at first to get used to listening and speaking English. I suggest listening to music, listening to native speakers of English any chance you get, and reading English books (easy ones at first).
I have been teaching ESL for over 5 years now. I am interested in providing you with an opportunity to study and live in my home in August 2005. I will provide 3 meals a day, your own room and a minimum of 15 hours of private ESL instruction each week.
I live in a beautiful, clean, and friendly community in Whitby, Ontario, Canada.
I provided homestay and private ESL instruction for students from Korea and Spain last year. Those students noticed a great deal of improvement in their English skills. It was a rewarding experience for myself and my students.
This July I will be teaching a group of students from Spain, but they will be living with other Canadian families.
If you are interested in this opportunity or have any questions, please contact me at [email protected].
Sincerely,
Katherine Sanchez |

I think that you can read books which you're interested in and consider the level that it suits for you.
Because you will give up, if you feel bored and difficult.
Don't spend much time looking up vocabularies, because you can guess what they mean by the context.
If you still don't understand and want to look up dictionaries, try to use English to English first.
You can also listen to BBC or CNN broadcast on Internet and watch English version of movies without the caption in your language, so you can improve your listening.
Try to keep a diary in English or find an article and write it down in English, then you can ask teachers to check your grammar.
I hope it is useful for you. |

my humble advise is
thinking in english.
do not worry about correctness of ur saying or writing
( in the beginning years of learing, u should focus more on speed and prociency)
and language is tool of expressing idea and reflection of their own culture.
so saying "i want to learn their language' is wrong attitude, i guess.
we are learning their culture and life and breathing among them.
now u feel some intimacy toward them?
if u are thing ur studying englsih like many other subject (math, science..)
it will be hard battle and soon give it up. |
