Hello,
There are of course numerous ways of phrasing a sentence. For example if the original sentence is:
"June 25 1983 changed the face of Indian cricket"
It can be rephrased in the following ways.
It changed the image of Indian cricket.
It gave Indian cricket a different turn.
It brought a great change/dramatic change in Indian cricket.
It was a turning point for indian cricket.
It brought a new phase for indian cricket.
It gave indian cricket a new dimension/direction.
It gave indian cricket a lot of motivation/ inspiration.
It lead indian cricket to a different era.
It gave a new look [?] to indian cricket.
Somebody learning english as a second language can gain a lot from reading these alternative ways of phrasing a sentence.
I was wondering if, along with the grammar sections and polls, it is possible to creat another section esclusively meant for this purpose. Then it would not only be educative for learners but also help the native speakers rediscover their language.
Hope I have made myself understood. |
