Doughty
1: Stouthearted, (unexpectedly) valiant, courageous, often said of
physically small or unassuming people.
How can that word be applied in a more commonly used sentence?
The adjective somehow remains me of Homer Simpon. It probably has got to do with his "Do'h".

His doughty defence of the middleweight boxing championship impressed us all.
It's not a very common word, today. |
