He said he drew a revolver to stop some of the men -later determined to be illegal immigrants-from *rushing him* Sunday night at a highway rest stop.
*rushing him* somehow doesn't make much sense to me.
Anyone care to explain? |

In this case the verb rushing him means, making a sudden move towards him to capture or attack him. |
