Hi,

I thought must is used to show obligation. Example- You must go to school. Can it also be used for prediction? If so, can someone give me an example. Someone tell me it can be but he can't think of example. Thanks.

The approaching clouds look thick and dark. It must be going to rain.

The new roller coaster is very tall. It must be very scary.

Thanks for the examples. I looked it up in a grammar book and found must isn't used for prediction. It looks like your examples would be for making conclusions "based on information". Thanks again.
