dead meat=easy prey?

Do they both have similar meaning?

Dead meat = doomed.
e.g. If you go into the desert without proper survival gear, you're dead meat!

Easy prey = easy to become a victim or easy to be used, abused, and/or taken advantage of by other people.

i.e. She is not very bright. If she went to that big club, she would be easy prey by all the smooth-taking players there.
