How old are you though?
Because if you are young, then you would be going to Elementary school.
If you are 12-18, then you would be going to a Secondary school.
If you are older than 18, you will be going to a Post Secondary school.

And if you are 18 or younger, you will be assigned a school according to where you will be living.
Hope this helps.

Hey, I am a Japanese girl and I was in vancouver last year.
I've studied English at a ESL school for 6 months . The ESL school where I studied was VANCOUVER ENGLISH CENTER. Its in Yele town.
there were many classrooms and teachers. actually I'd studied at another Esl school before I changed to VEC. why I'd changed to VEC that because there were full of Japanese in the school!! and they always spoke Japanese! It was disgusting!!
I dont say dont talk to Japanese. I had some japanese friends. though I aslo had many friends from different country. Anyway, you should find a school where you can find many nationalities that is most important. you have to speak english if you wanna improve your English! and it doesnt has to be canadian( canadian would be perfent for sure! )

and DONT USE ANY AGENT FROM JAPAN! there are many agent in vacouver where you can get imformation for free, and they also help you to find a school!
so DONT WAST YOUR MONEY !
