Dear teachers:
My hairline looks as if it has receded about one full inch *over the last six months*.
If I replace "over the last six months" with "for the last six months" or "in the last six months", does it make any differences?
Thanks. |

In the last six months means the same thing, but for the last six months is not quite right.
If you use for the last six months you have to say something like, My hair has receded half an inch a month for the last six months. |
