(a)Somehow he was afraid of her. = He was afraid of her without reason.
(b)I'll have it out with him somehow. = I'll have it out with him after all.
Are those right? It's hard for me to understand the meaning of somehow.

Somehow means, in some unspecified, or unknown way.
Or, for some reason or other.
Or, no matter how.
So, he was afraid of her, but he did not know why.
I will have it out with him, no matter how. |
