Could you explain what this is? Fate is fate, bad and good, right? What is rain here?

Fate = what will happen - yes this can be bad or good.
'rain' here is an idiom - denoting something bad - but not necessarily disasterous - things will not always be wonderful or perfect
another phrasal that means the same - 'you have to take the rough with the smooth' |
