//Hi!
I am a student in Korea.
There is very special soup for keeping good health in my country.
Some people hate this soup because it is made of "dog"
but it is traditional food which has been eaten for a long time by
our ancestor. What do you think about it?// _________________ Hi |

I think every country has its own kind of strange cuisine that the locals love but foreign visitors think is strange or disgusting. In Japan I tried fried whale meat, basashi (horse sashimi), and fugu nabe (poisonous puffer fish stew) to name but a few. In China I tried camel hump meat. A bit unusual from what I was used to, but still tasty. I haven't tried dog stew yet. Maybe someday?
What strange cuisines have you tried when visiting other countries? For example, in some regions of the U.S., you can try alligator meat, rattlesnake meat, or Rocky Mountain oysters (don't ask ). |

Yes! There is a Cajun cuisine restaurant near us that serves fried alligator meat. It was surprisingly good: flavor like chicken, texture like fish. |

Nice to meet you! I am a Japanese. I have never eaten whale meat.
What is alligator? I cannot imagine.
When I visited to Australia, I ate deer meat. It was like hard beef. |

Hajime-mashi-te.
"Alligator" in Japanese = "wani". Oishiiiiii!
I had deer meat stew once. For deer meat, we say "venison" (you know, like cow meat = "beef", sheep meat = "mutton", pig meat = "pork" and so on). It was okay, but beef is better. |

No! My Japanese sucks! I speak it worse than a 2-year-old child. I am a bad student.

Yeah, I was in Saitama NW of Tokyo for a year. No alligator cuisine there! |
