Hi! When I use "to" with verbs? |
When the verb follows other helping verbs such as:
like, want, need, have, desire, promise, be required, be obligated
e.g. I like to run. I need to clean my room. I want to drink beer. You are required to do your homework.
but NOT after certain helping verbs such as:
must, should, could, can, will, would, shall, may, might
e.g. I will run. I should clean my room. I might drink beer. You must do your homework. |
