I'm really interested in science.
My English teacher and I had a discussion about homosexuals.
I have nothing against homosexuality.
I predict that in the near future, scientists will come up with advanced
technology to detect homosexual genes for babies while they are in
their mother's stomach.
What do you think? Please reply. :?:

Wow sounds interesting. But the thing is, what if you really do have the ability to tell your child's sexual orientation? What are you going to do if your child is to be a homosexual? Would you kill it, if not then why do we need to know in the first place?

And I'm still looking for clear evidence supporting the effectiveness of the nature or nurture hypothesis.

i'd never kill my child only because it is probably homosexual! that's it's own decision. besides i don't believe in this prediction Wink
also, scientists are (re)searching the so-called criminality-gene in which lays the 'chance' of a person to get criminal. they discuss about whether a person is determined from birth on to get criminal or not.
i personally think not. becasue suich things always depends on in which milieu i child grows up.

greets Wink

oh, about abortion.
i think it's a difficult issue because for me, it depends on the cause why a woman wants to abort her child.
if it's likely to be mentally or physically handicapped, so hardly that the parents/woman don't dare to have this child.. maybe.
but if a woman didn't take care of becoming pregnant and wants to abort only because she didn't pay attention and now don't want the child because whatever, it doesn't fit into her lifestyle.. no, here i'm against abortion.

i think, abortion must be well considered because you always destroy a later human being although it might not be a *living* one.

greets again Wink
