moniker=somebody�s name or nickname?

Surely what the writer is trying to say is that Paris Hilton was talking to somebody with the same name (Paris).

i agree!!! WEIRD!
are you reading celebrity gossip columns, miss daredevil? they use
a LOT of weird slang/terminology, as a rule. it sets them apart from
regular news broadcasts, and makes the columnist seem hip and on
the cutting edge of culture. (sometimes it's very confusing, too.)
