The following is from a Taiwanese English discussion forum, thanks:
The correct sentence:
Depending on the source, the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of Round Table takes place either in the French region of Brittany or in parts of England.
Is the past tense also correct? Can the sentence be written in both present and past tenses?

"The legend of... took place..?" It makes logical sense, but I think it is customary to talk about stories in the present tense. |
