Are they correct sentences?
1. You need to put on some medication for your athlete feet.
2. You need to put on ointment for your wound.
3. I haven't gone to downtown for a long time.
4. A wife and a husband should be compatible.

1. it would be more correct to say 'you need to put some medication on your feet' (or your foot if you are referring to only one).
2. it would be more correct to say 'you need to put some ointment on your wound'.
3. it would be more correct to say 'i haven't gone downtown in a long time'...the 'to' is understood and not needed in the sentence.
4. correct!
5. correct! correct!
