"You should visit the museum is very interesting".

"You should visit the museum is very nice".

OK, I know the above sentence is grammatically incorrect, but lack the skills to give a simple explanation to a student about WHY. Do I say it's because there are two main points here about the museum and they need to be made separately?

My student is arguing that 'sleep' is usually an uncountable noun....and therefore shouldn't need an article....? Do I just respond by saying in this instance it is functioning as a countable noun?

'a sound sleep' - why?

Hi all,
I am just wondering why we say '[a] sound sleep'? Why do we use the indefinite article (or any article) in this phrase. I have a student asking me to explain this and I am stuck. Articles are so tricky.

Hi! If I were to buy just one grammar reference book for both my study and as a reference for teaching, what would you recommend and why? (Or if there is no ONE book, which 2 (or 3!) should I get?
