Do you want the kids to actually design the shirts, or do you have a design in mind? If you have a design, I would recommend iron-on transfer paper for the computer printer. when the "real" lesson starts, with sequential stages leading towards a specific language point, new people constantly arriving affects the smoothness and general continuity of the lesson. Every year I give fancy certificates to my students (elementary school) with their current level printed on them. I also put "seals" on them for "Great Improvement" or "English Mastery." Why? - They will be recognized at the end-of-the year awards ceremony. - They will have "proof" of their language...
