I can understand where you are coming from, but I thought I would let you know that many Deaf people are very offended as a culture when you sugges that they are disabled in any way. Changing your wording may help in your search.

I'm currently at KL and GRCC, but I will be transferring to Seattle Central and hopefully later on to Gallaudet for my Deaf Studies program.

I have not worked with blind children, but I have done a little bit of studying of the deaf-blind. The first question is, can the child hear? If so then communicating is slightly easier.

Either way I reccomend researching Helen Keller. Watching the movie "The Miracle Worker" is a good place to start.
