Hello, Welcome to the TX teacher forum. As far as taking ESL courses and receiving college credit. I believe most universities do not accept the hours from the ESL courses. Hi Blanca and others,
Blanca, you need to teach in Spanish--since you will be in a bilingual classroom. You will have a block of time (maybe 30 min-1hr. for ESL). Otherwise, all instruction/teaching in the classroom should be done in Spanish.

Hi Leslie and others, ESL is taught in the early grades; however, it all depends on where you live. In the bigger cities, there may be an ESL teacher for each grade level.
