if I say "what kind of musıc do you like" am I the subject then, and the kind of musıc the object?

hi, can someone have a look at this for me? :) in "which t shirt is nicer" is "which t shirt" all the subject? if so, if i say "which is nicer" is "which" the subject? so... subject+be+comp? if i say "which t shırt do you prefer?" what is "you"? the t shırt is the subject? so... subject+do...

Questions with comparatives

Hi, I've ben tryıng to work out the dıfferent sentance structures with comparatıve questions. So far I have... Which (one) ıs better? wh (+subject) + be + comp. Is this one nicer? be + subject + comp. How could I formalise... Which one do you prefer? Which one do you like better?...

Thanks, nıce guıdes, but I after something which breaks the grammar down eg. Simple past: positive: he swam subject + v2 negative: he didn't swim s + didn't + v1 question: did he swim? did + s + v1 etc etc. I'm sure there must be lists somewhere? Would be sooo useful... Thanks again :D James

Hi, I was wondering if there is anywhere online with a complete list of formalised grammar? Im guessing there is, but damned if I can find it....
