Genie,
Thanks for your response. I also believe there is going to be a need for lots of hand gestures and repeating going on if I am to teach children the English Language. Especially if they don't know it or if I can't speak their language. Again, thanks for your response.

Hi, You will definately need many books for your kids age and grade levels. Basically like Blanca said, you will need items like in a regular classroom. Just remember books are going to be very important, and I would also believe lots of environmental print will be necessary also. I hope this inform...

Arlette, I took have the same worries you have about bilingual classrooms. I like Blanca got to do my 1st internship in a bilingual classroom and only witnessed Spanish being taught. I do not agree they should only be pulled out for 1 hour to learn English. The whole purpose of a bilingual program i...

Blanca, I think you are going to have to use spanish only when you start to teach these kids due to the fact they will be NES. You need to realize you will not be able to reach all your goals, so make the goals you do make for your kids attainable. Don't expect to get everything in that you would in...

So they heavily enforced English to me since I was a baby. They discouraged me from using Spanish. ...
