The school has scheduled a Phys Ed day in which we have to organize and host the activity. Does anyone have a suggestion for an outdoor game that has proved popular in the past. Something that is not from Korea or popular in Korea.
We are from Canada.
Thank You
Physical Education Day

Do you want it to involve English? How many students? What age group?
Do you have or can you get from the nearest American base, a parachute? There are lots of fun games that you play with the canopy of the parachute. Cut off the ropes - many great uses for them as well in three legged races and such.
Team games are great and you can have mixed age levels. Get them to have the same arm band or t-shirt colour, make up a name and chant.
We had a funny race at a picnic last week. The parents were the "dogs" and had to travel on all fours. The children held their leash and raced with them to a specified point and back. Then the "dogs" had to eat three saltine crackers (anything with salt on it) and whistle or sing "Oh Canada". First one finished wins.
Do you remember all those team races - holding the egg on the spoon, running to the end and dressing up in large clothes, hat, gloves, boots and then undressing and running back to tag the next team member. Scaveger hunts for a list of objects readily available in the area or planted.
Mystery hunts to find notes in a specific order are fun but a lot of work.
The Guides and Scout Web Sites are a wonderful source of information on games.
You could have stations - high jump, long jump, obstacle course, foot race, etc.
You can end with a teacher against big students soccer, baseball, or medicine ball game.
Lots of blue, red and white ribbons with the name of the school on them. You appoint teachers at each post - one to look out for the winner, one for the second and one for the third and one to start the race.
Lots of water available and a really good first aid team.
Hope you have a great time.
