I start my first teaching assignment next week (short programs in the UK). On of my activies is the rizla game (name stuck on their back, gotta find out who they are) but don't know what celebrities are famous in Japan. I know they have heard of Mr Bean and David Beckham, but I need a few more than that.
If anyone has any ideas i would be grateful.
Also if anyone has any advice on teaching Japanese Age 15 to 18, i would be incredibly grateful
Cheers

Movie stars are pretty safe, as well as pop musicians.
If you can post a list of your ideas I can let you know if Japanese teens will know them.
Happy teaching,
Mark

Many many Thanks...
Would they know
Nicole Kidman
Penelope Cruz
marilyn monroe
james dean
sharon stone
leonardo di caprio
clint eastwood
I have completed my first Japanese programme, it went REALLY well.
I tried the celebrity game, but they didn't know Bono or Kurt Cobain (i was quite surprised), but they were only 15.
